Joan Szarowicz Memorial Scholarship

The 2026 Joan Szarowicz Memorial Scholarship awarded annually to one graduating high school senior.

Prize: $2,000

Eligibility:

• A good standing member of AAC Credit Union for at least 6 months prior to your application date.
• Graduating from senior year of high school in 2026.
• Planning to enroll or already enrolled as a full time student for the summer/fall 2026 semester at an eligible institution.

Growing With AAC: Youth Banking Today and Tomorrow.

AAC Credit Union believes strong financial habits start early. As a high school senior, you have a unique perspective on youth banking.

Describe your experience banking with AAC Credit Union as a Youth Member. What has worked well for you? Where do you see opportunities for AAC to grow or enhance the youth banking experience? Please share any specific ideas or features you believe would benefit youth members moving forward.

Application deadline is Friday, May 1st.

*Family of AAC staff and board are not eligible. Scholarship winner is determined by the most creative essay.  Financial scholarship is worth $2,000 and made payable to the institution where the student is enrolled.  Applications will not be accepted after deadline. Selection process will be completed by May 31, 2026.  Winner will be notified by e-mail/telephone thereafter
